Over 200 cars staged for the first round eliminations at Kil-Kare Dragway Saturday, for the Jeg’s Superquick Series and Summit ET Bracket Racing Action. In the Jeg’s Superquick Series quarterfinals it would be Terry Smith of Liberty Township with a 4.60 dial to the 4.52 of ken Storey from Sebree, Ky. Smith would cut a .519 light and would take the round win with a 4.504. Next would be Scott Carman of Lewisport, Ky dialing a 4.63 to the 4.64 of Stephanie Shelton from Independence, Ky. Shelton would have the better reaction time with a .503 and would take the win with a 4.6449 pass. Next would be Steve Taylor of Riverside dialing a 4.66 to the 4.54 of Ed Dudley from Fishers, In. Dudley would cut a .505 light and would take the win with a 4.543. the last pair for the round would see Jeremy York of Muncie, In. dial a 4.57 to the 4.61 of Dean McIlvain from New Carlisle. York would cut a .522 light and would take the win with a 4.583. In the Semis it would be Smith dialing a 4.61 to the 4.57 of York. Smith would be better at the tree with a .515 and would take the win with a 4.631 pass. Next would be Shelton dialing a 4.64 to the 4.53 of Dudley. Dudley would come out with a .504 light and would take the win light with a 4.553. In the finals it would be Terry Smith with the win on a 4.616 pass. Super Pro quarterfinals would see Ryan Burba of Beavercreek dial a 4.88 to the 4.87 of Killian Fansler from Kettering. Burba would go red moving Fansler to the semis. Next would be Daryl McConnaughey of Springfield dialing a 6.49 to the 5.86 of Mike Barrett of Beavercreek. Barrett would go red moving McConnaughey to the semis. James Emrick of Tipp City would have the bye. In the semis we would see McConnaughey dial a 6.49 to the 6.58 of Emrick. Emrick would cut a .536 light and would take the win with a 6.598 pass. Fansler would ride the bye to the finals. In the finals Emrick would dial a 6.55 to the 4.88 of Fansler. Fansler would be better at the tree with a .531, and would run a 4.890 for the win. In the Pro quarters we would see Jason Wheatcraft of Jamestown dial a 6.50 to the 7.01 of Doug Caplinger from Xenia. Wheatcraft would cut a .516, and take the win with a6.507. Next would be IDDU’s Carl Thomas from Kettering dialing an 8.25 to the 6.64 of John Masdea from Columbus. Masdea would cut the better reaction time with a .511 and would take the win with a 6.719 pass. Next would be bye runner Jason Fedkow, followed by the last pair for the round. Doug Caplinger of Xenia would dial a 7.03 to the 8.71 of Troy Layton from Columbus. Caplinger would go red moving Layton to the semis.
